After many bouts of sports related injuries as an ameteur athlete, I knew I wanted to be a Physical Therapist at a young age. Specifically, I knew I wanted to use my hands. I realized the difference this made versus therapeutic exercise alone. I received my Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from University of North Florida in 2013 and then immediately went on to receive my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2016. My passion for manual therapy awarded me the Paris and Patla award for excellence in manual therapy.Â
After school, I received my certification in Astym therapy, dry needling, have taken many Women’s Health and Pelvic Rehab specific courses, and have studied the science of PRI (Postural Restorative Institute). I also hold my Level 1 and have been coaching functional fitness and CrossFit for the better half of the last 12 years.
The challenge: After working in traditional outpatient rehab, I have realized the limitations that come with insurance based therapy. The limits on time in office, number of visits, and types of treatment covered, don’t allow for optimal rehabilitation. I am committed to treating clients one-on-one, with a focus on hands-on therapy. We provide in-office, in-home, and virtual sessions so that no limitation is too big to overcome.Â
